Which manual 35mm SLR camera should I buy?
I’m looking to buy a fully manual SLR camera (35 mm) for my college photography course. At the moment we’re only using 400 speed black and white film but we will be progressing onto colour film next term so I want something that will work with both.
I’m looking to buy my camera from Ebay and want to spend a maximum of £70 on the camera itself so please don’t recommend anything too rare!

I have a minolta x-700. It is completely manual. It works well. But it IS an older camera, so make sure its in good condition if you find one. You can find it pretty inexpensivly as well. I got one on ebay that came with a couple of different lenses and other accesories for about 50 usd (I dont know what the currency conversion is on that though), and I have been able to find other accessories locally and online for relativly cheep.
You CAN go in the middle. There are cameras like the cannon mentioned above that have the ability to be completely manual, but also have the ability to be auto in some respects. Like, some cameras can auto wind the film and things like that. Although, it really is NOT that complicated to get the film in a completely manual camera.
There is no difference in the camera between black and white film and color film. The difference is all in processing. Any camera that takes film can take black and white as well as color film. But processing color film is way way harder than black and white. The temps and time have to be completely exact.
